Dalton's Law states that the total pressure of a mixture of non-reacting gases is the sum of the partial pressures each individual gas would exert alone in the same volume at the same temperature.

Dalton's Law of Partial Pressures: at a given temperature, if two or more gases that do not chemically react with each other are enclosed in the same container, the total pressure exerted by the gas mixture is equal to the sum of the partial pressures of each individual gas.

Mathematically: P(total) = p1 + p2 + p3 + ...

where p1, p2, p3, ... are the partial pressures — the pressure each gas WOULD exert if it alone occupied the entire volume of the container at the same temperature.
