Q.Who are the members of the State Commission?

The State Commission is headed by a President (a High Court Judge) and has at least two other members, including one woman member.

The State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission is the middle level of the three-tier redressal system (District – State – National). Its members are:

• A President, who is or has been a Judge of a High Court, appointed by the State Government in consultation with the Chief Justice of the High Court.
• Not less than two other members (and not more than the prescribed number), persons of ability, integrity and standing with adequate knowledge/experience of economics, law, commerce, administration, etc.
