Closing capital = Assets ₹22,40,000 − Creditors ₹6,00,000 = ₹16,40,000. Result = ₹16,40,000 + Drawings ₹80,000 − Further capital ₹3,20,000 − Opening capital ₹15,00,000 = −₹1,00,000, i.e. a loss of ₹1,00,000.

Bills receivable, cash, furniture, building and stock are the year-end assets, and creditors are the year-end liability, so together they give the closing capital. This is a typical NCERT Class 11 Accountancy previous-year style problem where the closing capital turns out lower than the opening capital, signalling a loss.
