Cell potential is the difference in reduction potentials of the two electrodes; for the Daniell cell it works out to +1.10 V.

Cell potential (or EMF) is the driving force that pushes electrons through the external circuit of a galvanic cell, and is defined as: E°cell = E°cathode − E°anode.

The Daniell cell is written as Zn(s) | Zn2+(aq) || Cu2+(aq) | Cu(s). Zinc is oxidised at the anode (Zn → Zn2+ + 2e−) and copper is reduced at the cathode (Cu2+ + 2e− → Cu).
