EVALUATION
The chapter closes with a graded four-part EVALUATION. Part I is fifteen Multiple Choice Questions, several explicitly drawn from NEET question banks (NEET model 2018, NEET 2014 model), covering stress and strain, the elastic moduli, Poisson's ratio, viscosity, surface energy, and the equation of continuity, with the book's own official answer key printed immediately below the fifteen questions for self-checking. Part II is twenty-nine Short Answer Questions, testing every core definition and law developed across the unit -- from defining stress and strain, through Pascal's law, Archimedes' principle, viscosity, Reynold's number, terminal velocity, Stoke's force, Bernoulli's theorem, surface tension, angle of contact, and capillarity, to the principle of the venturimeter. Part III is thirteen Long Answer Questions requiring full derivations and proofs -- verifying Hooke's law experimentally, explaining the three elastic moduli, deriving the elastic energy density of a stretched wire, deriving the pressure at depth h, proving Pascal's law and Archimedes' principle, deriving the terminal velocity of a sphere using Stoke's force, deriving Poiseuille's formula, deriving the excess pressure inside a drop/bubble/air-bubble, deriving surface tension by the capillary-rise method, deriving the equation of continuity, proving Bernoulli's theorem, and describing the construction and working of the venturimeter. Part IV is five numerical Exercises -- on capillary rise with a changed tube radius, the twist produced in a rigidly-fixed cylinder under a tangential force, the equivalent single-bubble radius for two nested soap bubbles, the ten …
