Total sale value = 200 units x Rs 120 = Rs 24,000.

Ordinary commission = 4% x Rs 24,000 = Rs 960.

Excess of sale price over the invoice price fixed by the consignor = Rs 120 - Rs 100 = Rs 20 per unit, for 200 units = Rs 4,000 in total.

Over-riding commission = 5% x Rs 4,000 = Rs 200.

Total commission due to Z = Rs 960 + Rs 200 = Rs 1,160. …
