Entrepot trade, or re-export trade, is the purchase of goods from one foreign country and their re-export to a third country, rather than consuming them domestically.

Entrepot trade is a type of foreign trade in which goods are imported from one country and then re-exported to another country. The goods are not meant for consumption in the importing country; they are brought in, sometimes lightly processed, repacked or stored, and then sent abroad. It is therefore also called re-export trade. Such trade flourishes in countries with good ports, warehousing and connectivity.
