Part (a): Current Assets ₹1,12,000, Current Liabilities ₹32,000; Debt to Equity Ratio = 1 : 1.

Part (b): (a) No change, (b) Reduces, (c) Improves, (d) Improves the Current Ratio.

Part (a)

  1. Current Assets and Current Liabilities The difference between the Current Ratio and the Quick Ratio is Inventory. Let Current Liabilities = x. Then Current Assets = 3.5x and Quick Assets = 2x. Inventory = Current Assets − Quick Assets = 3.5x − 2x = 1.5x. Given Inventory = ₹48,000 → 1.5x = 48,000 → x = ₹32,000. Current Liabilities = ₹32,000; Current Assets = 3.5 × 32,000 = ₹1,12,000.
  2. Debt to Equity Ratio Debt to Equity Ratio = Long-term Debt ÷ Shareholders' Funds. Shareholders' Funds = Shareholder Funds ₹2,00,000 + Reserves & Surplus ₹1,00,000 = ₹3,00,000. "Total Debt" ₹4,00,000 is given with Current Liabilities ₹1,00,000 shown separately, so Long-term Debt = 4,00,000 − 1,00,000 = ₹3,00,000. …
