Part (a)

Concept

On forfeiture, Share Capital A/c is debited with the called-up face value, any premium called-but-unpaid is debited to Securities Premium, the amount received is credited to Share Forfeiture, and the unpaid call accounts are credited. On reissue, any discount is debited to Share Forfeiture (limited to the amount forfeited on those shares); the surplus of forfeited money over discount is transferred to Capital Reserve. A reissue premium goes to Securities Premium.
