Part (a): Share Forfeiture A/c is credited with money received = 600 × ₹5 = ₹3,000 (D).

Part (b): After reissuing 100 of the 300 forfeited shares, the balance left in Share Forfeiture A/c = ₹10,000 (A).

Part (a)

On forfeiture, the Share Forfeiture Account is credited with the amount already received on those shares.

  • Called-up value = Face ₹10 − uncalled final call ₹3 = ₹7
  • Unpaid first call = ₹2 → amount received = ₹7 − ₹2 = ₹5 per share
  • 600 shares × ₹5 = ₹3,000
