National income is the total money value of all final goods and services produced by the normal residents of a country during an accounting year. Its important features (any four required) are:

Expressed in money terms: Since goods and services are of many kinds, their total is found by adding their money values, giving a common measuring rod.
-
Net aggregate value: Only the value of final goods and services is counted, avoiding double counting, and depreciation is deducted to get a net figure.
