Ovary position

Ovary position describes where the calyx, petals and stamens attach relative to the ovary itself. A superior ovary has the sepals, petals and stamens attached at its base, so the ovary sits above these other whorls. An inferior ovary has them attached at its apex instead, so the ovary sits below/behind these whorls. A half-inferior ovary has them attached near the ovary's middle.
