Vermiwash is prepared by passing water slowly through a chamber/column filled with earthworms, organic waste, and vermicompost (often set up as a hanging pot or tank arrangement). As the water percolates down through the earthworm activity, it collects: excretory substances and mucus from the earthworms, plant growth-promoting hormones (like auxins, gibberellins, cytokinins), enzymes, and beneficial microorganisms from the earthworm gut and castings.
