ZIFT (Zygote Intra-Fallopian Transfer) is an ART procedure in which an egg is fertilised outside the body (in vitro) and the resulting zygote (formed within 24 hours of fertilisation, before it has divided) is then transferred into the fallopian tube of the female, allowing it to travel down naturally and implant in the uterus, similar to a natural pregnancy.
