Yes - water contracts when heated from 0 degrees C to 4 degrees C (anomalous expansion of water).

Most substances expand when their temperature is raised because the average separation between molecules increases. However, a few substances behave anomalously over certain temperature ranges.

Water is the well-known example. When water is heated from 0 degrees C, instead of expanding it contracts up to 4 degrees C, so its volume becomes minimum and its density becomes maximum at 4 degrees C.
