Frequency Diagram
A frequency diagram is used to picture data that are in the form of a grouped frequency distribution. Four such diagrams are in common use:
- Histogram — adjacent rectangles whose areas match the class frequencies.
- Frequency polygon — a many-sided figure joining the tops of those rectangles.
- Frequency curve — a smooth curve fitted to the polygon.
- Ogive — the cumulative frequency curve.
