Diarrhoea is a condition marked by the frequent passage of loose, watery stools. It is most commonly caused by infection of the intestine by bacteria, viruses or parasites, typically contracted from contaminated food or drinking water, though it can also result from food intolerance or as a side effect of certain medicines.
