Types of salts

These are of four types

I. Salts derived from strong acid and strong base. For example : NaCl, Na2SO4\mathrm{Na_2SO_4}, NaNO3\mathrm{NaNO_3}, KCl, KNO3\mathrm{KNO_3}.

II. Salts derived from strong acids and weak bases. For example : NH4Cl\mathrm{NH_4Cl}, CuSO4\mathrm{CuSO_4}, NH4NO3\mathrm{NH_4NO_3}, CuCl2\mathrm{CuCl_2}.

III. Salts derived from weak acids and strong bases. For example : CH3COONa\mathrm{CH_3COONa}, KCN, Na2CO3\mathrm{Na_2CO_3}. …
