- Anti-glare applications: Polaroid sunglasses and Polaroid window panes cut down the intensity of glare from reflected/scattered light (which is often partially polarised) without blocking all light, improving visual comfort. Similarly used in car windscreens/headlights to reduce glare from oncoming traffic.
