Since this answer cannot include a hand-drawn image, here is the structure a correct, fully labelled diagram of a plant cell should show, part by part, from outside to inside:
- Cell wall — the outermost, rigid layer made of cellulose, giving the cell its shape and support (absent in animal cells).
- Plasma membrane — the selectively permeable membrane just inside the cell wall, enclosing the cytoplasm.
- Cytoplasm — the semi-fluid matrix filling the cell, in which all organelles are suspended.
- Nucleus — bounded by a double nuclear membrane (with nuclear pores), containing the nucleolus and chromatin material; usually pushed to one side by the large vacuole.
- Vacuole — a large, single, central, membrane-bound (tonoplast) sac filled with cell sap, occupying most of the cell's volume — a hallmark feature distinguishing mature plant cells from animal cells.
- Plastids — especially chloroplasts (green, containing chlorophyll and thylakoids, site of photosynthesis), also chromoplasts and leucoplasts in some cells.
- Mitochondria — double-membraned, site of aerobic respiration/ATP synthesis. …
