EVALUATION
EVALUATION
This evaluation section carries the unit's complete end-of-chapter assessment, printed in five parts exactly as in the textbook. Part I, Multiple Choice Questions (15 questions, four options each, with the answer key printed immediately after) tests quick recall and short calculation across every major topic of the unit, drawing several questions directly from past NEET and IIT-JEE Main papers. Part II, Short Answer Questions (21 questions) asks for definitions and brief statements of the unit's key laws and terms -- electromagnetic induction, Faraday's laws, Lenz's law, Fleming's rule, eddy currents, self- and mutual induction, the AC generator principle, transformer types, average and RMS value, phasors, resonance, Q-factor, wattless current, power factor, and LC oscillations. Part III, Long Answer Questions (26 questions) asks for full derivations and explanations -- motional emf from the Lorentz force, the self-inductance of a solenoid, mutual inductance equality, AC generator construction and working (single- and three-phase), transformer construction and losses, the phase relationships and impedance of every circuit type covered in section 4.7, average power, and the generation and conservation of LC oscillations. Part IV, Numerical Problems (20 questions, each printed with its own official numeric answer) provides worked-calculation practice across flux, induced emf, self- and mutual inductance, transformers, and RMS/average/instantaneous AC values. Part V, Conceptual Questions (printed with items numbered 1 through 4 and then, in the source text, jumping directly …
