A real gas behaves like an ideal gas at low pressure and high temperature, when intermolecular forces and finite molecular volume can both be neglected.

An ideal gas is one that obeys PV = nRT under all conditions. It assumes (i) molecules have negligible volume and (ii) there are no forces between molecules. Real gases deviate because their molecules have finite size and do attract each other.
