The three sectors of an economy — primary, secondary and tertiary — together account for the entire Gross Value Added, so their shares must sum to 100 per cent.

Given: Primary sector share = 17%, Secondary sector share = 26%.

Tertiary sector share = 100% − (Primary share + Secondary share)

= 100% − (17% + 26%)
