The n-channel and p-channel JFET symbols are identical except that the gate arrow points towards the channel for the n-channel type and away from it for the p-channel type.
Both JFET symbols are drawn as a vertical line (the channel) with the Drain (D) at the top, the Source (S) at the bottom and the Gate (G) lead entering horizontally from the side. The single visual difference is the gate arrowhead: in the n-channel JFET the arrow points inward, towards the channel; in the p-channel JFET the arrow points outward, away from the channel.
