Any line parallel to 4x+5y=64x + 5y = 6 has the same coefficients of xx and yy, differing only in the constant term. So write the required line as

4x+5y=k4x + 5y = k

for some constant kk to be determined. Since it passes through (2,3)(2, 3), these coordinates must satisfy it:

4(2)+5(3)=k ⇒ 8+15=k ⇒ k=234(2) + 5(3) = k \ \Rightarrow\ 8 + 15 = k \ \Rightarrow\ k = 23

Hence the line is 4x+5y=234x + 5y = 23. …
