Communication

Communication is the two-way process of passing and understanding information between people, and is an essential element of the directing function of management.

Communication comes from the Latin word 'communis', meaning common. It is the process by which one person shares ideas, information, facts, opinions or feelings with another so that both reach a common understanding. It is a two-way process because it is complete only when the receiver understands the message and, ideally, sends back feedback.
