Fleming's right hand rule gives the direction of the induced current in a conductor moving through a magnetic field, using the thumb, forefinger, and middle finger of the right hand held mutually perpendicular.

Statement: Stretch the thumb, the forefinger (index finger), and the middle finger of the right hand so that all three are mutually perpendicular to one another. If the forefinger points in the direction of the magnetic field B⃗\vec B, and the thumb points in the direction of motion of the conductor (i.e., the velocity v⃗\vec v with which the conductor is moved relative to the field), then the middle finger points in the direction of the induced current (equivalently, the induced emf) in the conductor.
