Ketones (R-CO-R') are classified as simple vs mixed, and aliphatic vs aromatic.

Ketones are a class of organic compounds in which the carbonyl group (C=O) is bonded to two carbon atoms (i.e., to two alkyl and/or aryl groups), with the general formula R-CO-R'.

Classification:
