Photon energy and wavelength are inversely related (E=hc/λE = hc/\lambda), so the ratio of wavelengths is the inverse of the ratio of energies.

For a photon, E=hcλ  ⟹  λ=hcEE = \dfrac{hc}{\lambda} \implies \lambda = \dfrac{hc}{E}.

For the two photons of energy E1=5 eVE_1 = 5\ \text{eV} and E2=2.5 eVE_2 = 2.5\ \text{eV}:

λ1λ2=hc/E1hc/E2=E2E1=2.55=12\frac{\lambda_1}{\lambda_2} = \frac{hc/E_1}{hc/E_2} = \frac{E_2}{E_1} = \frac{2.5}{5} = \frac{1}{2}
