Q.Read the following passage and

(a) make notes on it using headings, sub-headings and a suitable title, with a key to abbreviations, and
(b) write a summary in about 50 words. Passage: Sleep is far more important than most students realise. During deep sleep, the brain consolidates memory, moving what we learn into long-term storage, which is why a good night's rest before an exam often helps more than late-night cramming. Sleep also repairs the body: muscles recover, the immune system strengthens, and hormones that control growth and appetite are balanced. A lack of sleep, on the other hand, harms concentration, weakens memory, and increases irritability and stress. Over time, chronic sleep deprivation raises the risk of obesity, heart disease, and anxiety. Experts recommend that teenagers get about eight to nine hours of sleep each night and keep a regular sleep schedule, avoiding screens before bedtime.
