I suggest that the authorities set up designated e-waste collection centres in every locality, encourage manufacturers to run take-back schemes, and run awareness drives in schools and residential areas. Citizens, too, must stop mixing e-waste with household garbage.

Timely action can turn a growing hazard into a recyclable resource.
