Q.Read the following passage and
(a) make notes with a title, headings, sub-headings and an abbreviation key, and
(b) write a summary in about 50 words.
Passage: Trees are among the most valuable resources on earth. They absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen, which helps to clean the air and slow down global warming. Their roots hold the soil together, preventing erosion and reducing the risk of floods and landslides. Forests are home to countless species of birds, insects, and animals, maintaining the balance of nature. Trees also provide people with food, timber, medicines, and shade, and studies show that green surroundings reduce stress and improve mental health. Despite these benefits, large areas of forest are cut down every year for farming, construction, and industry. To protect the planet, experts urge governments and citizens to plant more trees, protect existing forests, and use wood and paper responsibly.
