Q.What is cellular communication?
[!TLDR]
Cellular communication is a mobile telephone system that connects users to the public phone network by dividing the coverage area into small cells, each with its own low-power transceiver.
A cellular mobile telephone system permits a user to link up with the standard telephone system and place calls to any part of the world while on the move. Instead of one powerful transmitter covering a whole city, the geographical area is divided into many small areas called cells. Each cell has its own low-power transmitter and receiver serving only the users within that small area, and every cell is joined by a microwave radio-relay link to a master control centre called the MTSO (Mobile Telephone Switching Office), which manages all the cells, channel allocation and call hand-off. Because the same frequencies are reused in different cells, the limited spectrum can serve a very large number of subscribers.
[!ANSWER]
Cellular communication is a wireless mobile telephone technique that connects a subscriber to the public telephone network and allows calls anywhere in the world, by dividing the service area into small cells — each with its own low-power transceiver and all coordinated by a central MTSO.
