h(x)=x+55+x=x+5x+5=1x+5h(x)=\dfrac{\sqrt{x+5}}{5+x}=\dfrac{\sqrt{x+5}}{x+5}=\dfrac{1}{\sqrt{x+5}} for x+5>0x+5>0 (we may cancel one factor of x+5\sqrt{x+5} against x+5=(x+5)2x+5=(\sqrt{x+5})^2).

Domain: we need x+5>0x+5>0 strictly (not just ≥0\ge0), because x+5=0x+5=0 would make the denominator 00 too. So x>−5x>-5, i.e. Domain =(−5,∞)=(-5,\infty). …
