Reproductive health is significant because it directly affects the quality of life of individuals, families, and communities. When people are reproductively healthy, they can:
- Make informed decisions about marriage, family size, and childbearing.
- Prevent and manage sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV/AIDS.
- Avoid unwanted pregnancies and unsafe abortions, which are major causes of maternal death.
