Citrus seeds are polyembryonic because nucellar cells form extra embryos beside the zygotic one (adventive embryony), so one seed gives several seedlings.

Normally one seed holds one embryo, formed from the zygote. In many Citrus species (orange, lemon, lime) something extra happens: while the zygotic embryo develops, some diploid cells of the nucellus, the maternal tissue surrounding the embryo sac, divide and push into the embryo sac as additional embryos. This is adventive embryony, one of the categories of apomixis described in this section, and because it happens in the same seed alongside the sexual embryo the seed ends up with two, three or more embryos: the condition called polyembryony. …
