Step 1 — Verify the total. 6+10+14+9+6=456+10+14+9+6=45, matching the 45 workers stated.

Step 2 — Draw the histogram. Since all classes have equal width (20), draw five adjacent rectangles over boundaries 100,120,140,160,180,200100,120,140,160,180,200 with heights 6,10,14,9,66,10,14,9,6.

Step 3 — Find the class marks for the frequency polygon. xi=lower+upper2x_i=\dfrac{\text{lower}+\text{upper}}{2} gives 110,130,150,170,190110, 130, 150, 170, 190.

Step 4 — Add the two zero-frequency closing points. The imaginary class before 100100–120120 is 8080–100100, midpoint 9090; the imaginary class after 180180–200200 is 200200–220220, midpoint 210210. Both are assigned frequency 00.

Step 5 — Draw the frequency polygon on the same axes. Plot (90,0),(110,6),(130,10),(150,14),(170,9),(190,6),(210,0)(90,0), (110,6), (130,10), (150,14), (170,9), (190,6), (210,0) and join consecutively with straight lines, directly over the histogram just drawn.
