The frequency response of a CE amplifier is drawn with voltage gain on the vertical axis and frequency (usually on a log scale) on the horizontal axis. At low frequencies the coupling capacitors reduce the gain, so the curve is low; in the mid-frequency region the gain is maximum and almost constant at ; at high frequencies stray and junction capacitances reduce the gain again.
