B. Female Reproductive System : The female reproductive system consists of the following parts:
- A pair of ovaries
- A pair of oviducts
- Uterus
- Vagina
- External genitalia (vulva)
- A pair of vestibular glands
- A pair of mammary glands
Together, these structures produce the female gamete (the egg or ovum), receive the male gamete during copulation, provide the site for fertilization and the entire course of embryonic and foetal development, and finally allow the birth and nourishment of the baby.
