4. Vagina : It is a tubular female copulatory organ, 7–9 cm in length, lying between the cervix and the vestibule. Its wall has three layers: an inner mucosal lining, a middle muscular layer, and an outer adventitia layer. The mucosal epithelium is stratified and non-keratinised, and it stores glycogen; the vagina itself has no glands of its own, but it receives the mucus secretion produced by the cervix.
